It's a history text from the early 1900s which we found to be quite readable and interesting for children in grades 5 - 8. Since it's from that time, it doesn't include the world wars of the 20th century. However it provides a balanced look at the Renaissance and Reformation and can serve as a springboard to further study on any of the historical time periods.
